Hi
I also took the quiz and the result was that I am likely to be neurotypical, although I have some doubts about that , but my son (14) has a disgnosis of Asperger's syndrome since the age of 10. I used to post in another forum but I think I will like this one more. As a parent I talk more about my son in my posts than about myself because he is the centre of my life. He has many difficulties and gets very little support. There's no dad, siblings or other family around, so at times I'm literally overwhelmed, but he is a very clever and talented lad and we somehow manage to carry on. I find that due to his intelligence he's usually misunderstood by people who think that he can understand social rules better, also at school they tend to expect too much from him and he then breaks down at home. He takes Fluoxetine, Melatonin and sometimes Risperdal (when he feels too anxious and only if he asks for it).
My username R2d2 is the name of a helpful robot in Star War. It's how I feel at times as a teenager aspie's mum
