I don't know how well known this is, but I thought I would pass this out there as a way of informing you. We're looking into this college program for children with special needs, autism being one of the major ones... (although I'm sure aspergers is included... I know non-verbal learning disabilities are, which my parents wish that this was around when I was starting college...)
The College Living Experience is a program that caters to individuals with ADD, LD, NLD and autistic spectrum disorders like Asperger’s Syndrome and high-functioning autism. They provide independent living skills and college education. Their goal is to foster an independence in these individuals while helping them in their college careers. It's apart of the ESA and something we hope will help my brother Nick.
The CLE Advantage | College Living Experience (CLE) is the website. Check it out, I'll report my findings as Nick goes off to college (living in a dorm like place away from my parents and I) next fall.
